COMREC Mount Gambier boasts a venue that cannot be matched. Set on two and a quarter acres of natural bushland, the property is home to the animals and birds rescued and nursed back to health by COMREC clients in our innovative animal rescue programme. A fully fenced kangaroo sanctuary graces the rear of the property while nearer to the front the possums and baby kangaroos while their day away being fed and pampered by the clients. Often a baby animal will accompany the clients on a day trip in the bus, just another one of the "gang" at COMREC Mount Gambier. The house itself is huge and has all the usual COMREC standards like air conditioning and a fully equipped kitchen, and some extras such as a spa for clients to relax. The group is also a regular feature in community events, such as the annual COMREC stall at the Mt Gambier show every year to sell their now famous "mobiles" and other craft items made lovingly by the clients.
